Biography

R.D. Saunders
Chief Significance Officer - Duluth, GA - USA

R.D. Saunders began serving others at the age of 14 in a music group that visited nursing homes in his home town of Lancaster Ohio.  After graduating from Ohio Christian University in 1987, R.D. began a 22 year career as a pastor, church planter, and para-church leader.  His leadership resulted in dramatic growth in his churches.  In recent years, R.D. has been frequently called upon to speak around the world for John Maxwell’s foundation, EQUIP.  In addition, he built schools and assisted humanitarian aid groups in several countries.  During this time, R.D. began to sense a growing concern for the needs of the international community.  That is why when Jim Dornan called him to consider becoming the leader of Network of Caring, it was an easy decision.  His experience in leadership, communication, and cross cultural aid have prepared him well to become the Chief Significance Officer of Network of Caring.

R.D. says, “For years I have heard John Maxwell say that at this stage of his life, he wants to make a difference…with people who want to make a difference.  Without a doubt, Jim and Nancy Dornan and the Network 21 family are people who want to make a difference.  I am so honored to serve others with people like Jim and Nancy and all of our IBOs around the world.  We truly have an unimaginable opportunity to make a major difference in the world through Network of Caring!”

R.D. lives in Buford GA with Shelli his wife of 23 years and his sons Landon, a junior at Georgia State University, and Logan, a sophomore at Buford High School.  He loves being with his family, studying the American Civil War, and hiking in the beautiful woods of North Georgia.
